lyrics
Now it's coming right back
That's how it goes
Around in circles
You wanna be done for the night
Because it's getting late
And you're sick of the smoke
You don't understand why
I keep on playing this game
Love is a sea
I told you before
I don't want to fall into it
Too deep with someone
Me's all I know
Been on my own all this time
I've been here before
With somebody else
Asking me to throw
All of my cards on the table
How can I walk away from it now
With an ace in the hole
So that's another one gone
And it's still going in a circle
I wanna be done for the night
Cause I’m getting tired
But I feel so close to once in a lifetime
Just got to wait for the turn
I feel a queen in the river

A friend with a reliably fine musical taste posted this album on FB and I wasn't disappointed. Love the guitar sound and the passionate vocals (melodic enough to not pass as screamo or whatever). Punk rock spirit yet with a lot of dynamics (definitely a yes to the Dischord reference) and compact songs that won't leave your head for a long time. Many many
great tunes on here but for the moment USMA and Lay Low have to be my favorites! Great band, very happy to have found them! perpendikel
Rising Philadelphia band balance oversized pop punk hooks with vivid, intimate lyrics, presenting a raw, honest vision of guitar music. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 30, 2022
More feel-good indie from Brooklyn's A Great Big Pile of Leaves, all bristling guitar tones and expansive choruses. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 18, 2021

A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo
